MedFeed's task management system transforms verbal requests, observations, and alerts into structured, trackable tasks with complete accountability and audit trails.

Creating Tasks
Quick Task Creation
- Navigate to Tasks - Click the "Tasks" menu item in the sidebar
- Click "New Task" - Use the floating action button or "Add Task" button
- Fill Task Details:
- Title: Clear, descriptive task name
- Description: Detailed task requirements
- Priority: High, Medium, or Low
- Department: Select target department
- Assignee: Choose responsible staff member
- Due Date: Set completion deadline

Voice-to-Task Creation
- Click Voice Recorder - Use the microphone icon in the task creation form
- Speak Your Request - Describe the task naturally
- AI Processing - MedFeed automatically extracts:
- Task title and description
- Priority level based on urgency keywords
- Suggested assignee based on department/role
- Estimated due date

Bulk Task Creation
For multiple related tasks:
- Select "Bulk Create" from the task menu
- Upload CSV or Enter Multiple Tasks manually
- Map Fields - Assign columns to task properties
- Review and Create - Verify all tasks before submission

Task Assignment & Routing
Intelligent Assignment
MedFeed automatically suggests assignees based on:
- Department expertise and workload

Manual Assignment
- Select Assignee from the dropdown
- Add Watchers - Include stakeholders who need updates

Tasks are automatically routed based on:
- Emergency Department - Urgent patient care tasks

Kanban Board View
The visual task board shows tasks in columns:
- To Do - Newly created, unassigned tasks
- In Progress - Active tasks being worked on
- Review - Tasks pending approval or verification
- Completed - Finished tasks with closure notes

- Move Tasks between status columns
- Reorder Priority within columns

Task Status Management
Status Workflow
- Created - Task is logged in the system
- Assigned - Responsible person is notified
- In Progress - Work has begun
- Pending Review - Task completed, awaiting approval
- Completed - Task closed with verification
- Cancelled - Task no longer needed (with reason)
Status Updates
For Assignees:
- Update progress with percentage completion
- Add work notes and time logs
- Upload supporting documents or photos
- Request help or escalation if needed
For Supervisors:
- Review completed work
- Approve or request changes

Priority & Escalation
Priority Levels
- High Priority (Red) - Urgent, patient safety, or critical operations
- Medium Priority (Yellow) - Important but not urgent
- Low Priority (Green) - Routine tasks, improvements
Automatic Escalation
Tasks are automatically escalated when:
- Overdue by 24 hours - Notify supervisor
- Overdue by 48 hours - Notify department head
- High priority overdue - Immediate escalation to management

Manual Escalation
Users can escalate tasks by:
- Clicking "Escalate" on the task
- Selecting Escalation Level - Supervisor, Department Head, or Administration
